The Technical Pipeliner , will office out of Sonora, TX. The Technical Pipeliner will work independently and with other personnel to maintain and operate equipment and processes in Midstream business unit. Some of the processes involved use hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Typical working conditions include outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights and confined spaces. Operators must follow safe work practices including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). NOTE: Conditions of employment include successful completion of an entry-level test. Responsibilities may include :
Understanding the methods of measurements used for custody transfer
Understanding most common forms of measurement including the use of positive displacement meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters, and solids handling measurement
Interfacing with other internal, external and third party industry measurement related contacts/resources
Working closely with the Loss Control group on issues that relate to measurement
Performing monthly Pipeline gain/loss analysis.
Investigating instances of mis-measurement, computing adjustments and negotiating with other companies when necessary to settle difference in adjusted volumes
Providing input/suggestions into development of Phillips 66 Pipeline measurement standards to promote measurement uniformity and compliance with API measurement standards while keeping abreast of measurement trends and technology advances
Reviewing/auditing metering systems to ensure end-to-end integrity and accuracy
Review proving factors, flow computer and LC computations, data transmission, and SCADA computations
Scheduling calibrations, inspections, audits, and other related activities with facility supervisors and other third parties
Participating as witness to all company and third-party prover water draws
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary:
Inspect and Test Pressure Regulating Systems
Install Threaded Pipe and Fittings
Install process Tubing and Fittings
Inspect and repair electrical and hydraulic valve actuators
Performing routine pipeline maintenance:
Inspect and Evaluate Buried Pipe
Launch and Receive Pigging Tools
Monitor Installation of Pipeline Crossings
Conducting emergency one-calls, line locates, and onsite excavation third party
Maintaining Pipeline Right of Way
Maintaining Pipeline Markers and Signs
Inspecting, Operating and Maintaining Valves
Ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork
Responding promptly and effectively to customer needs
Responding to emergencies and assisting in maintaining emergency equipment
Completing mandated safety and regulatory training (Computer Based Training)
Maintaining effective and professional relationships with pipeline customers and vendors
Performing environmental, company and regulatory checks as necessary
Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School Diploma/GED equivalent OR Associates Degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics OR Journeyman license in related fields of electrical, mechanical or instrumentation
Must maintain a valid driver s license
18 years of age or older
Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
To climb up to 20 feet using both inclined and vertical ladders
To lift up to 69 pounds
To push and pull forces up to 100 pounds
To operate a forklift
To respond to emergency calls as needed
To remain on call as needed
To work overtime on an as-needed basis

To perform firefighting duties
To work outside in harsh weather conditions
To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
4 or more years of relative Industry experience in the oil and gas industry or Military experience
4 or more years of experience with the following:
Allen-Bradley PLC's
Rosemount Transmitters
OMNI flow computer
Working knowledge of pipelines
Mechanical and rotating equipment experience

Midstream
We own or lease various assets to provide environmentally safe, strategic and timely delivery and terminaling and storage of crude oil, refined products, natural gas and NGL. These assets include pipeline systems; petroleum product, crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminals; a petroleum coke handling facility; marine vessels; railcars and trucks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
